We really enjoyed sleeping 2 nights in this hotel. The property was located right by a couple of minutes walking from the main square and the main square and other areas in El Salvador. The accommodation had a central location in the city centre. We tried some restaurants, including Artisant which boasted an excellent cuisine.

spacious 4-bed dorm, decent atmosphere, average pricing
Shower situation is dire, filthy conditions, non-existent WiFi is unacceptable!!! Scooter rentals need maintenance, refunds should be guaranteed!!! Bathroom lacks essential hooks and shelves for convenience!!!

The spacious dorm allowed for a comfortable atmosphere with plenty of room to move around.
Unfortunately, I found only two bathrooms for the entire hostel, which led to long waits during peak times.

great staff but limited kitchen supplies
The staff was friendly and helpful . The hostel offers moto rentals at a very reasonable price of $15. I also appreciated the laundry service for just $6, which I found to be very convenient. The view from the hostel's garden was a pleasant bonus that added to my overall experience.
The shared kitchen could definitely use more utensils to make meal prep easier.

Ricks hostel had a great location, really close to everything I needed. The super nice team and kind, especially when I lost my towel. They let me borrow one from lost hotel! It was comforting to have lockers in the rooms and individual fans for each bed.

Decent atmosphere but needs better facilities
I liked the location and the vibrant atmosphere, which strikes a nice balance between being lively and laid-back. The large dorms are spacious, and every bed comes with its own fan and an electrical outlet, super convenient. The showers could definitely use some serious cleaning, as they weren't up to par. Plus, it was a bit strange that staff hours were limited.

The shared lounge at Castello Hostal Santa Ana was the perfect spot to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. With its cozy ambiance and comfortable seating, it felt like being in the living room of a close friend. I got lost in a riveting game of billiards with fellow travelers while swapping tales of adventure and laughter.

I always return to this place for my city trips. They helped me find my forgotten things once. It suits me. Free Wi-Fi, luggage storage, bar, airport shuttle, laundry, TV room, kitchen, billiards, games, non-smoking rooms: all I need!

As youngsters, we absolutely loved the social and friendly atmosphere at this hostel. The staff took us on a fun day trip to the hot springs and made us feel right at home. The location was perfect, just a few blocks from the main square and the bus station. Despite not having a kitchen, they had a fridge where we could keep our snacks and drinks cold. The beautiful old mansion had plenty of space and character, and the burger restaurant downstairs was convenient and served delicious milkshakes. The staff spoke English and were always eager to help.
We felt very cared for during our stay at Ricks Hostel Santa Ana. No complaints whatsoever.
